Probably you’ve already tried mate tea, but if not, it’s a traditional South American caffeine-rich drink. Basically, you steep dried leaves of mate in hot water from the thermos and drink it in a traditional calabash gourd with a metal straw. You can get mate in little bag in the supermarket, I also saw some local lady selling it in the street in the Northern Argentina.
