Lockdown time is boring, my only activity outside becomes running and getting an ice cream. Basically almost all shops and restaurants are closed except for supermarkets, bakeries and ice cream shops.
So because of corona lockdown, they try to reduce the time for each customer, it is said on that paper: mobile payment is encouraged but in case that mobile payment fails, better to have exact cash for your ice cream, otherwise you’ll get a coupon instead of cash change. Maybe as the measure gets stricter, cash won’t be accepted soon.
Mobile payment is getting more and more but still not so popular in Belgium, I wonder why they don’t simply accept contactless credit card payment. Now often it takes even longer for each customer this way. Or maybe Belgium should just catch up in mobile payment after all.
How are you on lockdown over there?
