Here is the next part of my Balkan trip. Today I went to the the Mogren Fortress. Back when it was built more than 150 years ago, it was used for the Austro-Hungarians to defend the western borders of Budva. The fortress is walkable from Budva old town but most of the people drive there.

This weekend in Brussels, there is a festival of light going on called “Bright Brussels”. Lately a frigid air from Siberia extends the cold winter in Europe. Temperature has been below zero for a couple of days already. Hopefully the colourful lights can bring warmness in such a fierce weather.

I made a video of yesterday’s Carnival de Oruro in Brussels, the multicultural capital of Europe. The cultural center of Bolivia in Belgium invites the entire Bolivian and Latin American community to participate. The carnival parade gave us an insight of one of the largest and most unique Carnivals in the world: Carnival de Oruro.

It is a beautiful Sunday in Paris. Every first Sunday of the month is the free museum day in Paris, all museums including the Louvre have free entrance today. On a 1 degree (Celsius) day, nothing could do better than free museums. In Paris, there are so many museums, of classical or modern art. I’m personally a much bigger fan of modern art than of the classical arts. So my first choice for today’s free museum visit was Centre Pompidou, a huge modern art center where you need to spend the whole day inside if you want to see everything.
