Parisian hidden gem of Magic and Wonder – Tour to 1900’s Mysterious Fairground

Weather you like museums or not, I believe you will enjoy this one.

Musée des Arts Forains (fairground art museum) is a private museum located in an old wine warehouse, Les Pavillons de Bercy. It all started when Jean Paul Favand, an actor and antique dealer, began collecting objects from fairgrounds and the entertainment world. For 40 years now, Jean Paul has been gathering and restoring his curiosities. All those objects boast undeniable aesthetic and cultural qualities, with the luxurious carvings and woodwork. The museum is only open upon reservation at some specific time of the week, beside being a museum, the venue can also be rent for special events.

Have you seen the Woody Allen movie Midnight in Paris? You might remember there was a special scene with the bike carousel. The scene was shot in this museum. I will take you for a ride in the bike carousel too. Let’s go.

Funfair is in Town, market squares full of Rides and Sweets

The other day I visited a funfair museum in Paris, today I’m going to show my dear Steemit friends the real fairground here in Belgium.

This kind of small traveling funfair is very typical in Europe. In Belgium, many fair trucks travel for a couple of days to a small village, a couple of weeks to a bigger city. Normally they would occupy one or two squares in town. Funfair takes place at the beginning of September. I think it’s a great timing. Because it’s always difficult to be back to the school after a long summer holiday. I believe funfair can make kids’ returning to schools much easier.

An Introduction to Georgian Cuisine (one of the best cuisine to me)

After being back from my trip in Georgia, many friends have asked me how the country is and most of them are actually quite surprised after seeing the food I posted on my Instagram. In my opinion, some dishes even take like Indian dishes.

But it’s not surprising as Georgia is a country with a unique history and culture. Just as its wine-vine like language, its cuisine also has a unique style. It carries some influences from other European and nearby Middle Eastern culinary traditions.

They call it full tasting Georgia plate and it was huge, my Ukraine friend was totally surprised that I eat that much. But actually all these dishes together cost around 10 euro. Amazing, isn’t it? Many of my friends have already put Georgia in their travel list actually hahaha

Georgia is a country with amazing pastries.
