Ayutthaya is a lovely old city full of ancient ruins and temples. Wat Ratchaburana is situated in the middle of the city, which makes it the easiest temple to visit. Near the temple there were a few cafes and restaurant, also a nice night market a street away.
I’ve never been to the more Siem Reap, thus never seen Angkor Wat, probably much more impressive architecture of its kind. But Wat Ratchaburana made a nice sunset trip, and for sure worth the visit if you travel around regions near Bangkok.
